The firm was founded in 1715 and has been based in Lincoln’s Inn since 1745. The continuing demand for our services reflects our 21st century working practices.
We understand our clients’ needs and tailor our work to each set of circumstances, providing high quality, cost effective advice. We are a multi disciplinary practice and work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive service over all our practice areas.
A designated partner is personally responsible for every client: the special relationship which develops from this arrangement – very often built up over many years – is the bedrock of our practice.
2015 saw Hunters reach a particularly special milestone, namely our Tercentenary. We celebrated our 300 years throughout 2015 and introduced a number of new initiatives aimed at making sure we continue to do what our clients want and need from us.
As a wise man once said: “The farther back you can look the farther forward you are likely to see”. Everything we do takes the long term view, both for our clients and for the firm itself. Our Tercentenary is a reminder to us that our history is there to inspire our future.
Hunters hosted our first lectures series during 2015 as well as introducing our Charity of the Year initiative. 2015 also saw us merge with May, May & Merrimans and launch our new website. As is important for all anniversary, we held our 300th birthday party at Westminster Abbey!
A busy year but a great start to the next 300 years.
We are delighted to announce that we will be supporting Home Start Westminster as our Charity of the Year throughout 2017.
Through a network of trained and DBS checked volunteers who are parents or have relevant experience they support hundreds of parents and children who are experiencing difficulties of one kind or another. The families need support for many reasons including social isolation, post-natal depression, disability, bereavement or the illness of a parent or child. Every Child and Family matter and the only criteria is that they have at least 1 child under the age of 5.Home-Start has a proven, lasting, positive impact on the development of children and the health and welfare of the family.
