Gerald joined Hunters as a partner in 2004. He specialises in all aspects of property work, building on his background in property development, banking and taxation. He has significant expertise in Stamp Duty Land Tax as well as planning and restrictive covenants (having spent many years acting for local residents fighting off proposals for adverse development), and work involving compulsory purchase and compensation.
He has acted in cases such as re Walker in the Upper Tribunal, and his work has been covered by national and local media. He is a member of the Land Law and Conveyancing Committee of the City of Westminster and Holborn Law Society and on the council of the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group.
He is a member of the Agricultural Law Association, Clarity and UK Environmental Law Association.
