Joe joined Hunters as a partner in 2004 and was senior partner from 2006 to 2011. Joe became a Consultant in 2016.

He is a private client lawyer, with an in-depth expertise in inheritance tax planning, and capital gains tax and income tax planning and reliefs for high net worth individuals. He also deals with a wide range of general private client work, acting for a number of landed estates, entrepreneurs and offshore clients, and has advised on the tax aspects of a range of commercial transactions.

Joe is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the City of Westminster & Holborn Law Society Revenue Committee.

Joe is recommended in the Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate section of the Legal 500 2016, recognised for being “hugely experienced, technically brilliant and very wise.” He is also recommended in the Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Private Client sections of Chambers 2013 and the Private Client section of Chambers Global 2016.
