Charles joined Hunters as a trainee solicitor in September 2009. He qualified into the Private Client Department as an Associate in September 2011, progressed to Senior Associate in October 2015 and was made up to Partner in April 2018.
Charles acts for individuals, families, trustees and executors in the full spectrum of private client work, including complex lifetime and succession planning, often with an international element, and has substantial experience in probate and estate administration. He assists with a number of landed estates. Charles’ work also involves supervising other members of the team.
Charles is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having passed his exams with distinction. He also recently completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients with distinction.
Before joining Hunters Charles read Classics at Cambridge University and then converted to law, studying for the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford. Outside the office Charles is often found on a golf course, hockey pitch or squash court.
