Mary Elliott read Law at University College London and subsequently qualified as a solicitor in 1990. She trained with May May & Merrimans, becoming a partner in 1995 and joining Hunters on the merger of the two firms in 2015.
Mary has a broad range of experience in the private client field. She has considerable experience of advising individuals, families and trustees on wills and estate planning, powers of attorney, and all aspects of the creation, management and distribution of UK trusts, as well as probate and estate administration, often involving complex areas of expertise. Her work also involves supervising other members of the Private Client team in relation to the full range of private client work, including probate.
She is a member of the Private Client Section of the Law Society and of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Mary is recommended as “very astute” (2016) and “vastly experienced” (2017) in the Personal Tax, Trust and Probate section of The Legal 500 2017.
